B Program/Type ﬁeld

Selects the program used by each part. When you move the cursor to this ﬁeld and press

the [WINDOW] key, the Program List popup window will appear.

C MIDI Ch ﬁeld

Speciﬁes the MIDI receive channel for each part. If you select 1A–16A, MIDI events of

the corresponding channel 1–16 from virtual MIDI port A will be sent to the part. If you

select 1B–16B, MIDI events of the corresponding channel 1–16 from virtual MIDI port

B will be sent to the part.

D Tune ﬁeld

Adjusts the pitch of each part in semitone steps. By adjusting the value below the decimal

point you can make ﬁne adjustments to the pitch in one-cent steps.

E Priority ﬁeld

Selects the priority order in which each part will sound. If you exceed the maximum

polyphony, notes will be turned off beginning with the lowest-priority parts.

For this ﬁeld you can select either HOLD (never turn off notes), HIGH (high priority),

NORMAL (normal priority), LOW (low priority). The priority descends in order from

HOLD→LOW.

F Prog No. ﬁeld

Indicates the program change number that is assigned to the program selected for the

part. When the cursor is located in this ﬁeld, you can specify the program change number.

■ Using program change messages to switch programs for the parts

Here’s how to use MIDI program change messages to switch the program assigned to

each part.

1. In the Mix page, move the cursor to the Part ﬁeld and press the [WINDOW]

key.

The Part popup window will appear.

2. Move the cursor to the Program change ﬁeld and turn it ON.

3. Press the [F1] key (CLOSE).

The popup window will close.

Now each part can receive program changes. When a program change is received, the

program will change for the part that is receiving the MIDI channel on which that pro-

gram change was received.
